ALOR LIVEABOARD DIVING : East of Flores
East of Flores (Alor) is one of our favorite areas to explore on our liveaboards as it is probably one of Indonesia’s best-kept diving secrets.
It’s an endless horizon with peaks of rugged volcanoes, ancient animist villages, dive sites that offer astonishing untouched reefs and unexplored coral gardens, sharks and large schools of fish, WWII wreck dives, macro diving to the world’s largest mammal. Liveaboard diving in Alor will offer you one of the most unique scuba diving adventures.
We will dive around Adunara island home to the very rare Rhinopias frondosa (Weedy scorpionfish), Lembata, and Alor where is located Pantar.
Although these islands are amongst Indonesia’s most beautiful islands. Few visitors travel these shores so you will have the secluded bays, beaches, and scenic landscape to yourself.
We bring you face to face with one of the most active Volcanoes the spectacular view of the Ili Lewotolok volcano. The scenery is super as it is a highly volcanic region. The last major erupt was the 29 November 2020. You will be able to make amazing & unique photographic memories.
This untouched destination is home to a world record when scientists recorded 1,200 species of fish, including some new to science, all found in Maumere Bay alone!
About the marine life, you find around those water some thousand reef fishes, Mantis shrimps, leaf-fish, bump head parrotfish, frogfish, lionfish, moray eels, cuttlefish, angelfish, anthias, snappers, ribbon eels, wonderpus and mimic octopus, nudibranchs, weedy scorpionfish, damselfish, gorgonians, sea fans, soft and hard corals, sponges, dolphins, reef sharks, hammerhead sharks, sperm whales, and even whale sharks
Amazing untouched macro life will offer you one of the best liveaboard you ever made.
You will also discover that each island has it’s own culture, languages and most of people there still live a traditional life respecting the nature.
